Board and Elders

The leaders of New Life are referred to as elders, according to Biblical principles. The elders constitute the spiritual leaderhip of the church.

In addition, the board is responsible for the more practical and legal aspects of leadership.

As of august 2010 these are the elders of New Life Gothenburg:

Mikael Vigart

– Part-time pastor in New Life Gothenburg. He was previously a pastor in Osby and Billdal.

Tanya Yurchenko

– Missionary/volunteer, orgininally from Ukraine. Moved from Stockholm to be part of the foundation team in Gothenburg in February, 2008.

Sara Sebök

– Comes originally from Hungary and also works full-time as a psychiatrist in Gothenburg.

Board

New Life is, like most churches in Sweden, a non-profit organization, which legally requires a board. The board in New Life deals mostly with the practical things needed in the church, such as budgeting, personnel issues, and the maintenance of the building, while the elders are responsible for the spiritual leadership.
