Spiritual and social growth through fellowshipWhat happens?Cell groups in New Life Church are smaller gatherings where people can get to know each other and God better. A small group meeting is usually about five to ten people who eat, relax, pray, and read the Bible together. When? Most of our cell groups meet once a week, but every group can decide how often and when to meet. Where? Our cell groups often meet at the homes of one of the members, which makes it easier for people to get to know each other better. How do I join?Contact our cell group team to get tips and information about a cell group that is right for you. E.mail: cg@newlife.nu During Sunday services: Ask at the information desk which is open every Sunday. You can also ask someone you know if you can visit their cell group. New Life Stockholm is built through the cell groupsThe concept of cell group comes from the cells that are in nature and in our own bodies. Cells and small groups in churches have many things in common: They grow and develop They can look different from one another They can split sometimes They are the building blocks of a living body. Growing and developing cell groupsThe Bible describes the Christian church as the representation of Jesus on earth. It's made up of people who have the responsibility of taking care of each other and telling others about Jesus. In cell groups you will meet others who are interested in the Christian faith. Here you can share each other's joys and burdens, successes and failures. Here you can learn more about God and your relationship to him. Cell groups are a part of the church. When people in a cell group take steps together in growth and create a welcoming environment for others to feel at home, then more people can be a part of the church. In this way we experience growth in the individual, the cell group, and the church. Cell groups with different expressions and interestsA number of things influence how a cell group functions; how often they meet, where they meet, and what they do when they meet: * Family situations * Geographic location * Type of building * Age * Interests * Language The groups decide themselves how a meeting will look. One group might combine an outdoor activity with prayer, while another group may focus on Bible study and share a meal while the children play. Cell division - a natural stepIf a cell divides - which does not have to happen - it's completely natural. Often this is because a group has become too big that the small group feeling and interaction is lost. The result is a division of one cell group into two - which means that they will in turn continue to grow, develop and reach new people. Cell groups that build the churchEvery cell group in New Life is a living building block which together form our church. It's here that people are strengthened and make lasting friendships. It's also here that ideas, prophecies and visions are born which can have immense importance to our future. Through the cell groups we learn more about each other and about God.
